Cities and civilization in the Islamic era is considered one of the pillars of the development of society and human progress, Islam is always with the progress and construction and the creation of a happy society According to human needs, the formation of each city had a number of reasons behind their creation, including political reasons, strategic location, geographical reasons, religious, economic and social reasons, etc It is a vivid and comprehensive picture of history. It tries to completely revive the past, as we describe how the intellectual and spiritual products of people in the past in the fields of (urbanization, science, literature, art, music, writing, politics and religion). Education , economics, culture, and human relations. At the beginning of the Islamic state, then Islamic civilization paid attention to the construction of mosques, schools, libraries, hospitals and streets and markets as an important structure of the city. Finally, cities and civilization in the Islamic era were the main basis for the formation of an advanced society. Their influences have remained in the history and civilization of the world. Civilization is not a new concept. Throughout history, ancient nations have worked on it. Civilization in general means material and intellectual activities of human beings that play a role in the development of cultural, social, political and economic aspects Step by step, cities were built and urban structures were divided into urban building units. This research is a reason to further reveal the meaning and concept of Islamic cities and civilization that has had a strong position in the past, and will introduce the original culture of these regions to the present and future generations. In addition to obtaining the necessary information about the concept of city and civilization, as well as the importance of the formation of archaeological and cultural cities, which has become the interest of researchers to conduct scientific research in this regard
