This research, titled "National Identity in Ziwer’s Poetic Texts: Children’s Poetry as a Model," primarily aims to highlight the significance of Kurdish identity and child upbringing within the poetry of Ziwer. It explores a vital dimension of Kurdish literature, specifically the national and educational role of poetry as a medium for enhancing national, social, and cultural awareness. The study seeks to answer several key questions, including: To what extent did Ziwer prioritize Kurdish identity? For what purposes and through which methods did he incorporate this issue into his children's poetry?
The research demonstrates how the poet integrated national issues with educational, behavioral, and social aspects directed at children. Furthermore, it highlights the values the poet aimed to instill through symbols and poetic imagery, such as embedding behavioral values, strengthening cultural identity, respecting nature, and encouraging learning as a tool for social progress. Additionally, the study examines the poetic language and communication styles used with children, discussing the impact of simple vocabulary and engaging rhymes in delivering messages enjoyably.
This study is based on a textual analysis of selected works by Ziwer, utilizing the "Content Analysis" method to uncover the national dimensions and the direct and indirect educational objectives within the texts. Accordingly, the research is divided into several sections: Introduction: Provides a brief biography of Ziwer as a literary and educational figure. Chapter One: Focuses on the reflection of national identity in his poetry. Chapter Two: Analyzes educational values within Ziwer’s poetic texts for children. Chapter Three: Investigates the literary styles and techniques employed by the poet in the process of national education for children. Finally, the study concludes with the most significant findings, along with a set of suggestions and recommendations.
