Future Anxiety among University Students(Garmian University for example)

Abstract

This study intends to achieve the following objectives:

1 . Future Anxiety among University Students(Garmian University for example)

2. future anxiety among university students according to gender variables (males and females) and experts (science - humanities).

. The researcher used the methods of "Descriptive Social Survey". The research community includes all students of Garmian University for the academic year (2024 – 2025). The total number of students is 4714 students of both sexes for morning and evening classes, according to their experts and level of study. The researcher took a sample of (10.6%) from the total research community, which is (499) students ,the researcher adopted a class random sampling method. The researcher developed the measure of future anxiety based on four areas. He has derived the truth, stability, and discriminatory power of the provisions for each of the criteria. The researcher used the Likert method, which consists of five alternatives for each item of the scale. The alternatives are (always, often, sometimes, rarely, never). The researcher used the statistical processing software package (SPSS) to statistically process the data in the study and analyze the data on the outcomes (counting center, person adherence coefficient, percentage Rate, T-test).

After presenting the results of the research, the researcher came to the following conclusions:

1- The level of future anxiety among Garmian University students is high.

2- There is no significant difference in the level of future anxiety among students of Garmian University according to gender variables and their specialty.
