Place possesses an absolutely essential quality in the novel, transcending its role as a simple backdrop to become a fundamental element in presenting the content. No story can be complete without the setting in which its events unfold and grow. Place is a constant pillar in the narrative structure, deeply intertwined with other techniques in an inseparable relationship, and it has a decisive influence on the characters and the course of the narrative. It represents the primary existential reference point with man engages in the literary work. This study seeks to shed light on the formation of place techniques in the novels of the novelist Al-Zebari, following the descriptive-analytical approach. The research begins with an introduction in which we clarify the importance of place, followed by an analysis of the description of place, character traits, and Text hanging in his novels, examining their connotations and relationships, and then the conclusion and research findings.
