One of the most important semantic topics in Arabic is the phenomenon of meaning allocation, which deals with how the word moves from a general connotation involving more than one subject to a specific connotation. This shift shows linguists' eagerness to control semantics and understand their course in different usages, as well as their understanding of the relationship between general and special meaning in an Arabic lexicons.
This research focuses on examining the allocation of meaning in body terms, organs and states as handled by master's son in his lexicography, by tracing the connotations that have gone from a general sense to a specific meaning associated with a particular organ or state of the body. Research was based on the descriptive, analytical approach, using lexical evidence from his masters son It shows how it documents public and private meaning, and sometimes combines them. The study showed that body language is a rich field of meaning allocation, showing a clear semantic path from generality to privacy, with lexicographical concern to provide a comprehensive and precise definition that reflects the richness of the Arabic lexicon and the accuracy of linguistic observation.
