Abstract

In the realm of contemporary linguistics, the architectural formulation of phrases is rooted in a meticulous geometric framework, where X-Bar Theory serves as a universal and comprehensive governing principle. This study is presented as a rigorous scientific endeavor aimed at elucidating the fundamental role of the Lexical Head as the decisive epicenter in determining both grammatical identity and semantic essence. The primary objective of this research is to investigate how the Kurdish language, specifically the dialect spoken in the center of Duhok, integrates into the grammatical mold of the human mind and the logical foundations of Universal Grammar. Through this inquiry, a new horizon is opened for Kurdish syntax, clarifying the intricate relationship between lexical units and the laws of advanced linguistics, thereby recognizing the "Head" as the primary unit in the projection of larger linguistic structures.

Adopting a descriptive and analytical methodology, this research moves toward a profound understanding of the structural organization of various lexical phrases and their correlation with linguistic parameters. The findings demonstrate that the Kurdish language, notwithstanding its distinct idiosyncrasies, fully adheres to the universal tenets of structural formation. Furthermore, the study meticulously examines the role of the Lexical Head in the construction of Noun Phrases (NP), Verb Phrases (VP), Adjective Phrases (AP), and Prepositional Phrases (PP), providing a syntactic analysis of the Duhok center dialect through the lens of X-Bar Theory. The study concludes that the Head acts as the governing nucleus that defines the grammatical and semantic status of the phrase and organizes its hierarchical structure. Ultimately, the results affirm the alignment of the Kurdish language with global linguistic principles.
