The structure of the art of storytelling in Jamil Saeb's story (Le Khawma)

Abstract

The story holds a distinct and important place as a literary genre in the world of literature. This is due to the various messages and thoughts contained within it. In fact, this genre has served as a foundation for the development of other genres such as novels, and drama.

It is clear that a story consists of several elements, all of which form its structure. The most important of these elements are: (characters, events, setting, time, Plot), which establish connections between different literary genres.

The history of Kurdish storytelling, compared to global storytelling, is relatively recent. Kurdish stories have gone through their basic stages, initially following a traditional narrative style, and then, in the mid-20th century, Kurdish writers began writing stories in a more modern form. Much effort has been made in the early stages of Kurdish story development. Not every narrative is necessarily a story, because the difference between a report and a story lies in the fact that a story contains technique and artistry; that is, the techniques and narrative elements define the story's form.

This study, titled “The structure of the art of storytelling in Jamil Saeb's story Le Khawma ” is an attempt to identify and examine the artistic elements of storytelling present in Jamil Saib’s story “Le Khewma”.
