Anwar Mayi His Life and Role and Articles in Al- Haqiqa- Rasti Journal

Abstract

The chosen area of this study is titled as (Anwar Mayi his life and role and articles in Al-Haqiqa Journal in 1959). Anwar Mayi is considered as one of the well-known figures in Bahdinan area who served in politics، intelectuality، and journalism aspects. His role was obvious in the journalism aspect. he worked with a number of journals، for instance Al-Haqiqa journal where he had a great role in working with them. He was one of the founders of Al-Haqiqa journal and the manager of Kurdish department in that journal. Besides as an intelectual and author of Bahdinan area he also had a noble and interesting role in Al-Haqiqa journal sharing his articles and topics in both Arabic and Kurdish in most of the issues of the mentioned journal. He often used the nickname of (Rebar) which means Leader or his real name on his published articles. Within these articles he presented the news، incidents، and matters of the Bahdinan area particularly and Kurdistan and Iraq generally. In addition of that in many articles he wrote about the brotherhood of Kurds and Arabs nations، the unity of Iraq، the 14th of July revolution، the Kurdish cause، democracy، freedom، and confronting the imperialism systems. The journal didn't continue for a long time due to several reasons and it had stopped from publishing. Anyone who observes in the Kurdish Department of that journal will recognize how did Anwar Mayi worked hard in order for the Kurdish language department of the journal last.
