Criminal Policy in Addressing the Crime of Harassment

This research addresses criminal policy in confronting the crime of harassment, as one of the crimes that violate human dignity and threaten social security due to its serious psychological and social impacts on victims. The study aims to clarify the concept and elements of the crime of harassment and to highlight the role of criminal policy in combating it through criminalization and punishment, in addition to preventive and protective measures adopted to limit its spread.
The research adopts the descriptive analytical method by examining relevant legal texts and jurisprudential opinions, and assessing the effectiveness of criminal policy in achieving deterrence and protecting victims. The study concludes with a set of findings emphasizing the importance of adopting a comprehensive criminal policy that combines deterrence, treatment, and prevention to reduce the crime of harassment and enhance social security
