The research is based on six main axes that clarify the aim and importance of the research, as well as the results and conclusion. These axes revolved around the following:
First: Explaining the concept of future events in the Holy Qur'an, and what is meant by events that did not occur at the time the verses were revealed.
Second: Explaining the concept of the past tense verb and its original meaning, then explaining how to use it to indicate future events.
Third: List the Quranic verses that express future events in the past tense, and classify them according to their topics.
Fourth: Interpretive study: explaining the commentators' statements on these verses, and the direction of the past tense's meaning towards the future.
Fifth: Rhetorical study; revealing the rhetorical secret in expressing the future through the past, and this is highlighted through:
A - Investigating the occurrence of the event.
B - Emphasizing certainty that it will occur.
C - Depicting the future as if it were a witness.
D - Strengthening the psychological impact on the recipient.
Sixth: Doctrinal study: explaining the proof contained in these verses:

B - Belief in the unseen.
C - Resurrection and resurrection.
D - The other day.
E - Promise and threat.
