Abstract

The present study aims to identify the level of future skills among postgraduate female students at the College of Education for Women from the perspective of faculty members. To achieve this aim, the researcher adopted the descriptive approach. The research population consisted of faculty members who teach postgraduate students at the College of Education for Women. To collect the required data, the researcher developed an instrument to measure the level of future skills among postgraduate female students. The instrument included a number of items distributed across several domains representing future skills and adopted a three-point response scale. After administering the instrument and statistically analyzing the collected data using appropriate statistical methods, the results indicated that postgraduate female students possess a high level of future skills from the perspective of faculty members. In light of this finding, the researcher presented a number of recommendations and suggestions that may contribute to maintaining and enhancing future skills among postgraduate female students in accordance with the requirements of university education and contemporary developments.

The level of future-oriented skills among female postgraduate students was generally high, though it varied across the different domains covered by the assessment. While a high level was observed in most areas, critical thinking and problem-solving skills were found to be at a moderate level, highlighting the need for greater focus in this area. The findings underscore the importance of developing a comprehensive set of future-oriented skills among postgraduate students. Recommendations include: strengthening educational programs that foster these skills; placing a greater emphasis on critical thinking and problem-solving through targeted educational activities; supporting the integration of digital technologies in higher education; encouraging faculty members to adopt teaching methods that promote creativity, collaboration, and self-directed learning; and organizing training workshops designed to enhance the future-oriented skills of postgraduate students.
