The study aimed to identify the level of survey among second-year middle school students, and the differences in the level of survey according to the gender variable (males - females). The relationship between survey and achievement in physics among second-year middle school students. The sample included (186) male and female students in the second intermediate grade, who were selected randomly from students in secondary and intermediate schools affiliated with the Al-Hamdaniya Education Directorate. For the academic year (2024-2025), the researcher prepared a survey measurement tool consisting of (46) paragraphs, and the researcher verified the (constructive, apparent and subjective) validity of the tool. As well as the reliability by the retest method, the reliability coefficient was (0.82), and the researcher used statistical methods to arrive at the results and data (Pearson’s correlation coefficient - t-test for one sample and two samples), The research revealed a set of conclusions, in light of which the study’s recommendations and proposals were developed.
The level of inquisitiveness at the school is above average, as the scores (responses) fall within the average range. There is a statistically significant difference in inquisitiveness based on gender, favoring the male participants in the study sample. There is a statistically significant relationship between inquisitiveness and academic achievement in physics for second-year intermediate students.
