Abstract

Domestic violence is one of the most serious social problems affecting the stability of the family and society in general. It includes physical, psychological, emotional, and economic violence. These types of violence have profound negative effects on individuals, especially women and children, impacting their psychological and physical health and social development. Social services are an effective tool in addressing domestic violence issues, as social workers play a pivotal role in providing psychological support, family counseling, and legal guidance. Furthermore, the Holy Quran offers valuable guidance on how to promote healthy family relationships, calling for mercy, understanding, and justice among family members. In many verses of the Quran, the need for spouses to coexist in kindness and compassion is emphasized, which is in stark contrast to all forms of violence. The Holy Quran emphasizes the need to preserve the dignity of the individual within the family and promotes the principle of good treatment and understanding between spouses. By combining the concept of social services with the teachings of the Holy Quran, effective strategies can be developed to address domestic violence. Quranic values related to mercy and justice can be applied in social service programs, contributing to the guidance of individuals and society. To reduce violence and promote healthy family relationships, community awareness can be raised about the importance of respecting the rights of individuals within the family through collaborative work between religious scholars and social service specialists. This collaboration can be effective in providing realistic solutions to protect individuals from domestic violence, thereby enhancing the stability of society as a whole.
