Pros and cons of using artificial intelligence applications in teaching biology for the fourth grade of middle school in the city of Ramadi from the teachers' point of view

Abstract

The aim of the research was to identify the pros and cons of using artificial intelligence applications in teaching biology for the fourth grade of middle school in Ramadi city from the teachers' point of view. The study sample consisted of (86) teachers of biology for the fourth grade of middle school in Ramadi city. The descriptive approach was used by conducting a questionnaire consisting of two axes. The results of the study showed that the pros of using artificial intelligence applications in teaching biology for the fourth grade of middle school are many, the most important of which are: The use of artificial intelligence applications in teaching biology provides an opportunity to customize education according to the individual needs of students, and improves the efficiency of teaching the subject through interactive explanations and simulations. However, the results showed some negatives, the most important of which are: The use of artificial intelligence applications reduces the teacher's direct communication with students, weakens the ability to understand students' emotional and psychological feelings during explanation, and its use increases the cost of education due to the need for modern technologies and the availability of a high-speed Internet network.
