Abstract

Abstract:

The importance of the research appeared in collecting the opinions transmitted from Ibn Al-Khabbaz in the book Irtishaaf Al-Darb by Abu Hayyan, and the extent of the grammatical influence that reflected the presence of this tendency in his book. Given the importance of the two mentioned scholars, we focused on their opinion as much as possible in presenting the issues, while mentioning the opinions and statements of other scholars. The problem was in not finding Ibn Al-Khabbaz’s opinions in his printed book Al-Nihaya, which led us to turn to his other books such as (Tawjih Al-Luma’) and (Al-Ghurrah Al-Makhfiyyah) in the hope that we might find what we were looking for in them, in addition to his transmission of Ibn Al-Khabbaz’s opinions without commenting on them or even making a slight comment. Hence, our orientation before all of this was towards knowing the number of issues that Abu Hayyan addressed, as they were close to eighty issues, and we chose the built nouns as a model for the grammatical study in this research.

The Kufians and Basrans agreed that a relative pronoun beginning with “al-ladi” is not to be pronounced as a lament, such as “alladhi.” So one should not say “wa-ladhi man duffar bir Zamzam,” even if he is famous, because it begins with “al-ladi.” This type is absolutely forbidden by consensus.
