The period of the arrival of Islamic rule in Kurdistan (16-25 AH) is considered an important period in Kurdistan's history. During this historical period, Akre city has seen a prominent position, especially in terms of architectural monuments. The first mosque in Akre was built in 20 AH. It has not lost its architectural importance. It has been renovated several times in a new and contemporary form. Of course, this research as a scientific research is not without obstacles. The obstacles faced by the researcher in preparing the research are various, above all, the researcher did not have access to some documents and books on the history of construction. We used (Islamic Architecture of Akre city, (the Great Mosque as an example) as the title of the study, in order to provide historical evidence of the construction of the mosque and its construction method. The sources used in the preparation of this research are various, including Kurdish and Arabic, usually include memoirs, university sources (master's and doctoral degrees), newspapers and magazines, interviews with elderly people who have rare and hidden information that is not mentioned in any book The sources of information that have provided important information for this research are: (Akre Drupalen Daruke da) by (Hikmet Malayasin), (Jamia Akri) by (Azad Mustafa), (Akri Tarikha - Scholars) by (Faiq Abu Zaid). It has provided information to the research and the researcher has benefited greatly from it. The research period only focuses on the arrival of Islam in Kurdistan in general and the town of Akre in particular during the period (18-20 AD), which is considered an important period in the archaeological history of Akre during the Islamic period.
