This research aimed to examine the impact of administrative empowerment on employee performance in real estate companies in Erbil City, Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The study investigated the relationship between administrative empowerment, represented by its dimensions (delegation of authority, participation in decision-making, training and development, and motivation and administrative support), and employee performance, represented by its dimensions (quality of performance, speed of accomplishment, job commitment, and creativity and initiative).
The research adopted the descriptive-analytical approach to develop the theoretical framework and analyze the field data. A questionnaire was used as the primary tool for data collection from a sample of (80) employees working in real estate companies in Erbil City. The collected data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) through various descriptive and inferential statistical techniques, including frequencies, percentages, means, standard deviations, Pearson correlation coefficient, and simple linear regression.
The findings revealed that both administrative empowerment and employee performance were at a good level. The results also indicated a positive and statistically significant correlation between administrative empowerment and employee performance. Furthermore, regression analysis showed a significant positive effect of administrative empowerment on employee performance, explaining a substantial proportion of the variance in employee performance. Among the dimensions of administrative empowerment, motivation and administrative support had the strongest effect on employee performance, followed by training and development, delegation of authority, and participation in decision-making.
The study concluded that strengthening administrative empowerment practices within real estate companies contributes directly to improving employee performance, enhancing work quality, increasing productivity, and strengthening organizational competitiveness. Based on the findings, several recommendations were proposed, including expanding employee participation in decision-making, enhancing training and development programs, and improving motivation and administrative support systems.
