Secondary education means the academic stage confined between primary and university studies, and it consists of two phases. It is provided by non-governmental schools in exchange for specific sums of money, and these schools are financially and administratively independent, but they are under the supervision and authority of the Iraqi Ministry of Education. And the number of students enrolled in it, males and females and the number of faculty members according to tables and their representation on maps and charts, Among the problems caused by private secondary education and effects.
The efficiency of private secondary education services in Iraq is a positive indicator in terms of Iraqi educational planning standards and its capacity to accommodate students. The number of teachers in private secondary schools varies from one governorate to another, with higher numbers in Baghdad and Basra. This is attributed to the increased number of private secondary schools in these two governorates. Statistics indicate a rise in class sizes in Baghdad, Basra, and Najaf due to the larger size of school buildings, which can accommodate more students.
Several problems have emerged concerning private secondary education, including inconsistencies in the quality of education, weak planning, and the decline of public education.
