This research explores the character of Lady Zainab, daughter of Imam Ali (peace be upon them), as a unique model of the Muslim woman who combined knowledge, faith, struggle, and patience. The study highlights her pivotal role during and after the tragedy of Karbala, where she eloquently carried Imam Hussain’s message with unwavering strength and wisdom. Her speeches in Kufa and Damascus reflected deep spiritual awareness and political insight. The research also examines her educational, intellectual, and social influence, emphasizing her contribution to shaping Islamic feminist consciousness and inspiring resistance against injustice. The study concludes that Lady Zainab (peace be upon her) represents a comprehensive school of thought and action, deeply rooted in the principles of justice, truth, and reform within the Islamic community.
Through my research into the sermon, it became clear that this sermon, and others by Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her), can be considered a valuable intellectual and cultural resource for linguistic studies, particularly in terms of the authenticity and eloquence of the language. My research revealed a diversity of stylistic tools, arguments, and proofs used in rejecting the Umayyad approach and its accursed tyrant, Yazid. This necessitates considering Lady Zaynab's sermon as a linguistic field of study in communication and its semantic significance. My research also uncovered numerous semantic dimensions suitable for linguistic studies, all of which require a keen intellect and a deep understanding of linguistic and literary knowledge. The sermon contains a rich lexicon of words with semantic nuances, some of which require interpretation. Furthermore, it features skillfully crafted linguistic structures and a diverse flow of expression.
