Abstract

The aim of the current research is to identify "the effectiveness of the Venn shapes strategy in developing academic buoyancy among university students" and to verify the aim of the research, two null hypotheses were formulated, one of which is a comparison between the experimental and control groups in developing academic buoyancy and the other about the pre- and post-test of the experimental group. The research sample consisted of (44) students from the third stage in the Department of Physics / College of Education - University of Salahaddin in the Kurdistan Region of Erbil for the academic year (2024-2025), with (22) students for the experimental group who were taught according to the Venn shapes strategy and (22) students for the control group who were taught according to the usual method, and The equivalence of the two groups in a number of variables, namely (chronological age calculated in months, the degree of optics material for the previous stage, Raven's intelligence test), and after the end of the experiment, the data were processed statistically using the (SPSS) program, and the results showed that there were differences and statistical significance at the level of significance (α = 0.05) for the academic buoyancy scale (pre-post) that were studied according to the Venn shapes strategy in favor of the post-test, and there was also the same statistical significance at the level of significance (α = 0.05) between the average scores of the two groups (experimental and control) in favor of the experimental group in the academic buoyancy scale (post-post). At the end of the research, a number of recommendations and suggestions were presented for future research.
