Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the impact of academic stress on fourth-year students at the College of Basic Education at Garmian University. To achieve this objective, the researcher employed a descriptive-analytical method that aligns with the research aim. The research population consists of students from the College of Basic Education, including the departments of (Kurdish, Arabic, Sports, and Kindergarten), totaling (197) students. The research sample comprised( 100) male and female students. The research instrument was a questionnaire form titled after the research, consisting of two variables: the first variable is academic stress, which included three dimensions (exam and grade stress, time and task stress). The second variable is mental health, with psychological stress as a secondary variable. Statistical tools included the arithmetic mean for validity extraction, Alpha Cronbach for reliability, Pearson correlation, ANOVA, and t-test for one and two samples to examine the impact of research variables on gender. These analyses were conducted using SPSS statistical software.. In conclusion, the researcher has reached several results, suggestions, and recommendations. The following are the most important findings of the study:

The research academic stress impact on  mental health. The mental health of four years   student  is not at the required level, academic stress has an impact on the mental health of the research simple .they are no statistically significant difference in student mental health based on the gender variable, there are  no statistically significant  difference in the impact of academic stress on students mental health based on the department variable .
