Abstract

Through my study of this type of statement it became clear to me that rhetoric is the conformity of speech to the requirements of the situation with its eloquence, and that there are types of simile , which are representative simile eloquent simile , and implicit simile . I discovered these types in the Diwan of Shihab al- Din al- Talafari  through my study of this type of statement in his Diwan . This research is divided  in  three sections , the first section is representative simile the second section is eloquent simile , and the third section is implicit simile . Eloquent simile had the largest share in the Diwan of Shihab al- Din al- Talafari , and l relied on the descriptive analytical method in my explanation of the verses and explained what they contained in terms of rhetorical matters . from the tool simile , the subject of comparison , the object of comparison , and the point of similarity , and I dealt with them in a systematic , escalating manner from short direct similes consisting of the subject of comparison and the object of comparison as well as rich simile such as the eloquent representative and implicit simile , and the details in them that were reflected in this image , whose meaning can never be understood without contemplating these relationships and connections between its words , which are like the threads and lines upon which the image cannot exist except by relying on them . The components of the sentence and what it contains of emphasis , attributes , and transparency , I concluded with a summary outlining the information and facts I discovered on this topic . My study in this research was presented concisely along with the results I reached . I ask God for success in this academic journey and that  He makes this work purely for His sake , And Gad is the One who guides to the right path .
