Abstract

After Dr. Fathi Salem Hamidi, one of the venerable scholars in the city of Mosul specializing in Islamic history, he wrote nine thousand research papers. He was careful to carefully select the titles of his books and wrote the introductions to his books with extreme precision. He was distinguished by his clear methodology, focusing on studying the conditions that the Abbasid state was going through. Al-Laheebi's methodology was distinguished by its deep study of various Islamic and non-Islamic sources. He did not rely on chronological narration, but rather went beyond it to focus on analyzing events. He used the inductive, descriptive, and analytical methods. In order to ensure accuracy, he was interested in documenting the years to preserve the heritage and the chronological connection of events in the Abbasid era.

The study aimed to shed light on Al-Laheebi's historical method through his methodology in studying the Abbasid era.
