Abstract

Therapeutic by Philosophy is, in fact, a contemporary philosophical project that establishes a non-pharmaceutical therapeutic concept for treating intellectual problems and psychological disorders. Philosophical therapy is not something new; rather, it is a concept as old as humanity itself. However, it has reappeared in our time as a non-pharmaceutical treatment for humanity's existential crises and contemporary intellectual problems, or "diseases of the mind." The philosopher Ibn Sina is considered one of the most prominent Muslim philosophers in philosophical therapy. He excelled in the fields of medicine, philosophy, and psychotherapy simultaneously; He also practiced talk therapy with his patients. and was distinguished by his integration and reconciliation of theoretical and experimental sciences in his therapeutic methods. He was among the first scholars to apply the integrative approach to treatment, as Ibn Sina considered the human being to be an integrated system, the treatment of which necessitates treating the human being as a whole (body, mind, and spirit). Ibn Sina's therapeutic philosophy is considered one of the most prominent and successful techniques of Islamic philosophical therapy in the ancient world, which demonstrated the philosophical basis of medicine according to Ibn Sina and the integrative, synergistic approach to treating physical and psychological diseases.

The study entitled “Therapeutic by Philosophy, according to Ibn Sina” deals with the concept of therapy with philosophy. It is an analytical study that reviews the concept of philosophical therapy in Ibn Sina, his therapeutic philosophy, his philosophical care for the soul, the concept of philosophical medicine and “psychosomatic” medicine, the ethics of therapy with philosophy and “medical ethics,” the explanation of the relationship between the soul and the body, the effect of pathological emotions and feelings on man as a self-aware being, and the explanation of the effect of therapy with philosophy in Ibn Sina on contemporary concepts of therapy and its applications. The research ends with a conclusion that includes the summary and results that the study reached, which are represented by the vital role of therapy with philosophy in Ibn Sina and its effect on contemporary therapeutic applications.
