Abstract

Initiating goodness is a fundamental Quranic value, as the Holy Quran urges immediate righteous action and encourages Muslims to strive in acts of piety to seek the pleasure of Allah Almighty. This research aims to examine "Initiative for Goodness" in the Holy Quran, addressing the diminished awareness regarding its practical importance in daily life. The significance of the study lies in highlighting initiative as an effective value for fostering positive behavior and building a cooperative society. The research adopts a descriptive-analytical methodology, analyzing the linguistic and Sharia connotations of the Quranic text. The study is structured into three main sections: the first defines initiative linguistically and idiomatically; the second reviews verses related to initiative and their contexts; and the third explores the types and practical dimensions of initiative. The research concludes that fostering a culture of initiative contributes to social integration, emphasizing that the Holy Quran presents it as a practical tool for entrenching noble values.
