"The Legal Framework for the Right to Access Information and Administrative Documents: A Comparative Study"

Abstract

This study aims to examine the legal framework governing the right of access to information and administrative documents in Iraq, recognizing it as a fundamental right that promotes transparency, accountability, and good governance. The research focuses on analyzing relevant Iraqi legislative texts, including the Constitution and administrative laws, to assess their adequacy in ensuring the effective exercise of this right. Additionally, the study reviews the extent of compliance of Iraqi legislation with international human rights standards that emphasize the importance of the right to access information.
