Nature in the Poetry of Adeeb Kamal al-Din (Selected Models(

Abstract

In this research, I examined nature in the poetry of Kamal al-Din Adeeb and the natural images found in the poet's verses from some of his collections. This was done to identify the elements of nature within it and analyze them in-depth. I followed a descriptive and analytical approach. This descriptive research into nature, from the pre-Islamic era to the present day, is considered a type of poetry that derives its material and themes from living and silent nature. Poets in the past used to draw vivid descriptions and images from it, drawing from them a natural, imaginative, and lively poetic spirit that inspired movement. The pre-Islamic poet described most of the beautiful features of the nature in which he lived and analyzed them in detail. These images were interspersed with similes and rhetorical metaphors derived from nature, and he began to interact with the desert environment of the Arabian Peninsula. Throughout the literary ages, poets continued to describe nature and everything in it, leaving no single aspect untouched and described. Living nature thus became the poet's vocation, inspiring poets to flow and flourish within them, stimulating their poetic creativity. So I found in Kamal Al-Din Adeeb’s poetry a collection of wonderful images that are not merely inanimate or limited things, but rather a vibrant spirit, within which lies the splendor of life and the secret of natural beauty. So he began to express the feelings and emotions within himself, and the thoughts and poetic images that were stirring in his heart and mind.
