Theuse of artificial intelligence applications in university libraries and its impact on improving their services: a case study millimeter

Abstract

The study aims to identify the concept of artificial intelligence and the changes it has brought about in university libraries, in order to know the extent of the readiness of these libraries to employ artificial intelligence applications in them in order to optimally invest in the information services provided to beneficiariesAnd to determine the basic requirements for entering the university library sector in using artificial intelligence applications, the analytical survey method was used to survey the sites of central libraries (study sample) (the central library of the American University), (the central library of Al-Bayan University) Which has an actual representation in the use of artificial intelligence applicationsBy distributing the questionnaire to the beneficiaries of those libraries (study sample), who numbered (50) beneficiaries for each library, as well as observation in identifying the artificial intelligence applications used in those libraries, as well as direct examination of those applications.The study also reached a number of results, the most important of which were: that artificial intelligence applications in university libraries have become an essential element in the efficiency and quality of information services provided in those libraries. There is a demonstration of the use of artificial intelligence applications in university libraries، The study made several recommendations, perhaps the most important of which are: emphasizing the development of a realistic strategy and plans to adopt artificial intelligence applications in information institutions and libraries for the purpose of providing the best services to their beneficiaries, the necessity of diversifying artificial intelligence applications in university libraries, which reflects positively on the development of information services in those libraries on the one hand, as well as the continuity of the continuity and work of those libraries on the other hand.
