Abstract

The Nishapuri schools played an important role in spreading rational and traditional sciences during the fifth and sixth centuries AH (eleventh and twelfth centuries AD), leaving a clear impact on the city of Nishapur. Naturally, the establishment of these schools was the result of the efforts of the city's scholars and those who came to it, as well as the attention of the Seljuk rulers of that period, a fact that is consistent with their names.

Whatever the case, these schools witnessed significant scholarly activity during the research period, before their role diminished toward the end of the Seljuk rule of Nishapur in 548 AH (1153 AD).

The research includes an introduction, a preface, three chapters, and a conclusion. The first chapter deals with "The Schools of Princes and Ministers," the second with "The Schools of Islamic Schools," and the third with "The Working Systems and Methods of Education in the Schools of Nishapur." The choice of the topic ((The Importance of Nishapur Schools in Scientific Life during the Fifth and Sixth Centuries AH/Eleventh and Twelfth Centuries AD)) comes from the clear effects left by the schools in Nishapur on the course of scientific life, represented by the emergence of a number of scholars in various fields of science and knowledge. The reason behind specifying this time period for the research is due to the role of Nishapur as the capital of the Khorasan region for many countries and emirates that had a leading role in enriching the Islamic civilization, which reached its peak in the fifth and sixth centuries AH/Eleventh and Twelfth Centuries AD.       The incoming Nisaboorian scientists have founded schools. Furthermore , people in power , scientists , and citizens participated in expanding them. As what happened exactly for states and nation who ruled Nisaboor , it emerged the greatest and most important Islamic schools in the fifth century A.H. The Eleventh B.C which made some historians attribute it to their rulers. Among them salagiqa sultans as the first who founded Islamic schools. What assures our claim , is that the school movement at Nisaboor became weaker and started to fanish with the end of salgoq regime of this city in ( 548 A.H\1153 B.C ).
