The Effect of Practical Sensory Training on Improving Biological Understanding of Metabolic Processes

This study aimed to evaluate the impact of practical sensory training (touch, smell, taste) on improving students' biological understanding of metabolic processes. The study employed an experimental design, where participants were divided into two groups: an experimental group that received practical sensory training, and a control group that received traditional instruction.
The results showed a clear superiority of the experimental group in the post-test, with a significantly higher mean score compared to the control group. The results also indicated a statistically significant difference between the two groups, suggesting that practical sensory training had a positive effect on improving students' comprehension of metabolic processes.
Based on these findings, the study recommends the use of practical sensory training in teaching biological concepts, as it contributes to enhancing students' understanding and increasing their engagement with the subject matter.
This is where practical sensory training comes in as an effective educational tool that can help simplify these complex concepts. By incorporating practical activities that simulate metabolic processes, such as experiments measuring oxygen consumption and carbon dioxide production, or using interactive models that illustrate chemical reaction pathways, students can engage with these concepts in a tangible way, enhancing their understanding and comprehension.
