Abstract

This Paper deals with the protection of cultural heritage in general and intangible heritage in particular, the definition of its types, and ways to preserve the memory of Moroccans, starting with Morocco's ratification of several international legislations and involvement in several institutions active in this framework, and ending with keeping up with these international efforts by enriching its legal arsenal with draft decrees and laws concerned with the preservation of its intangible heritage. The study found that Morocco's cultural heritage in general and Taza city in particular is rich in the diversity of its culture, a stock that still needs many efforts, which will inevitably contribute to a thriving local tourism industry that benefits the population and contributes to the development of the national economy.

The study concluded that the cultural heritage of Morocco in general and Taza in particular is diverse and rich and is inherited in a normal way but needs to be valorised. The study also included a number of recommendations related to the investment of intangible cultural heritage by creating harmony between the efforts of the state and Associations and other stakeholders in cultural affairs  .
