Analysis of the phenomenon of dropout in secondary schools in Hillah District

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the extent and analysis of the phenomenon of secondary school failure in Hillah District, identify the spatial variation in the magnitude of this phenomenon, and examine the most important causes contributing to the exacerbation of this problem in the district in2023.

This study also concluded that there is a significant environmental disparity between the number of students in the district. The urban environment hosted the largest number of secondary school students, reaching 64,275 male and female students, while the number of students who failed reached 26% of the total number of students in urban environments.

In rural environments, the number of students reached 22,202, while the number of students who failed reached 720, representing 10% of the total number of students in rural environments.
