Czech-Soviet Transaction Weapons for Egypt and the Situation of USA Opposite to it on Sept. 1955 (Analytical Historical Study )

Egypt declared on Sept. 1955 a big weapon transaction with Czech which was supported by Soviet, the transaction included fighter planes, canons, tanks, bombers, radar systems, light weapons, its amount exceeds (83) million dollars, it has been agreed to pay the amount of weapons in return to cotton and rice by the Egyptians with rate of interest of 2% , this transaction created a big concern in the west, notably USA and Britain, as they consider it as an increase of Soviet in middle east area that threaten interest of USA in the region, but USA tried to ruin that transaction by supplying military support to Egypt, but these attempts didn’t succeed, that transaction led to increase the tension in the area of middle east and deepen the division between the western and eastern camps, and effect on the relations between Egypt and USA, most important reason behind the transaction was refusing of USA to supply weapons to Egypt, Egypt aimed to have weapons from USA but USA refused by its conditions, that forced Egypt to find another source, not bias policy of Egypt push it to be close to Soviet who endeavor to widen his existence in the region of middle east, Egyptian Soviet closure was considered a strategic transforming in the forces balance in the middle east region, whereas Egypt became more dependent on Soviet that led to sever tension between Egypt and Israel which led to the war against Israel as Egypt
become a part of the tension between West and East that reflects on the external policy.
