This study examines the role of auditory evidence in Ali bin Suleiman Al-Mansouri's grammatical preferences in his book "Sharh Al-Fara'id Al-Wafiya." The book integrates various opinions of grammarians from different schools, offering preferences based on auditory and grammatical principles. The research focuses on three main topics:
1.Permissibility of Preposing the Predicate: Al-Mansouri explores the dispute between Basran and Kufan grammarians, favoring the Basran view that preposing is permissible, supported by Quranic and poetic examples.
2.The Predicate After "Lawla": Al-Mansouri explains cases where the predicate is omitted after "Lawla," favoring obligatory omission when context suffices, backed by grammatical rules and poetic evidence.
3.Raising the Noun After "Lawla": He supports the Basran opinion that the noun is raised as a subject with an omitted predicate, opposing Kufan views that attribute the raising to an implied verb or "Lawla" itself.
The research employs a descriptive-analytical method, utilizing Quranic verses and poetry as evidence, emphasizing the significance of auditory evidence in Al-Mansouri's grammatical preferences.
