The effect of the quality of electronic information administrative decisions : in the colleges of humanities of the university of Mosul from the point of view of the heads of departments

Abstract

The study aims to measure the impact of the quality of electronic information on improving administrative decision-making in the humanities colleges at the University of Mosul, from the perspective of their department heads. It seeks to determine the effect of electronic information quality on the decision-making process in terms of relevance, timeliness, accuracy, comprehensiveness, and its overall effectiveness in supporting decisions. The study follows the descriptive-analytical approach by distributing a questionnaire to a sample of 33 departments from the pure humanities colleges. The study concluded with a number of findings, the most important of which are:

·The results showed that the quality of electronic information is closely linked to the timing of its availability, as most respondents considered that timely access to information enhances its value and quality in administrative work.

·The study revealed that formal and informal communication channels are available and effectively used within the institution, which contributed to raising the level of administrative coordination and ease of information exchange.

The study also proposed several recommendations, including: Enhancing the speed of access to electronic information through the development of digital infrastructure and the provision of effective search systems, to ensure timely support for administrative decisions.
