Abstract

This research study the Arabic and Kurdish resistance literature through the Palestinian poet (Samih al-Qasim) and the Kurdish poet (Hemin Mukriani), both of whom are prominent figures in resistance literature. Therefore, through this research, we studied the contents of resistance literature in the poems of these two poets, based on the similarity of their lives and the political and social circumstances surrounding them. Relying on the descriptive analytical approach, based on the American school of comparative literature, to study the contents of resistance in their poetic texts, with the aim of presenting a common image that represents the struggle and the call to resistance and not submitting to tyranny, resistance literature represents a type of literature that seeks to draw the features of standing up to all forms of injustice. From the occupation of land, the theft of identity, and the lack of recognition of the other, to drawing the features of this stand in its various forms as a means of resistance, struggle, and conveying suffering and voice, as well as to protect identity, culture, and inherited traditions, all of this in a sophisticated literary formulation. The research aims to analyze the commonalities between Samih al-Qasim and Heyman Mukriani, and to enhance cultural understanding between the two literatures, so that literature can be the social engine of resistance and political liberation, and increase awareness and mutual respect.
