The intermingling of genres in Tarafa ibn al-Abd's Mu'allaqa

The dilemma of searching for the problem of textual purity in the ancient Arabic poetry text is based on the poet’s ability to create a non-hybrid text, but this ideal vision is in reality unrealistic according to what was proposed in the theory of the overlap of literary genres, which relied on the legitimacy of textual richness that penetrates and transcends the dividers and borders to form a poetic text with which all genres interact that help to contain daily life in the ancient Arab environment, which is what we can sense in everything that Arabic poetry presented as the Arab Diwan in which genres overlapped in all their poetic, dramatic and narrative forms, forming poetic worlds that worked to enrich the pre-Islamic text. This is what we can approach in the Mu’allaqat of Tarafa bin al-Ubaid, which formed a text and a poetic text that contained an architecture and textual terrain that formed an integrated map of the overlap of genres that reflected all psychological interiors and their reflections on the overlapping and intertwined reality. Accordingly, this Mu’allaqat is an icon or a compositional image to attract all the genres that the poet expressed, as his Mu’allaqat contained On the dramatic, narrative, cinematic, and formative side, which is what we can approach in this research.
