This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Seven Steps Strategy in developing cognitive openness and academic achievement among tenth grade students in the subject of History. The researcher employed the quasi-experimental method and applied research tools to a sample of students in Erbil Directorate of Education. The results showed statistically significant differences in favor of the experimental group. The study recommended the adoption of this strategy in teaching History and other subjects for its role in activating learners and enhancing their cognitive skills.
