Andalusia witnessed a remarkable development in both poetry and prose. The rulers brought writers closer to their courts and patronized them. This research has uncovered the book "Abkar al-Afkar" by Ibn Sharaf al-Qayrawani, a work worthy of study due to its collection of prose texts that reflect the social realities of the time and reveal the mindset and thought patterns of the Arab writer during this period. The book's themes are diverse, ranging from complaints about life's realities and social etiquette to discussions of enmity, leisure activities, wisdom, advice, and proverbs. The author drew upon several sources, including the Holy Quran, the Prophet's biography, classical Arabic poetry, and other elements of the prevailing culture of the era. The researcher collected and edited these prose texts, which were transmitted by the author of "Al-Kharida," and provided commentary, relying on a range of sources, references, and poetry anthologies. This work, if I have succeeded in it—which is what I intended and aspired to—and if I have erred, then all humans err. And God is the source of all success.
