The effectiveness of a proposed educational design based on Cultural Criticism Theory in the achievement of students in the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences and their attitudes towards Educational Technology

Abstract

The aim of the current research (a proposed educational-learning design according to the theory of cultural criticism in the achievement of students in the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences and their attitude towards the subject of educational technologies. The research was conducted at Al-Qadisiyah University, College of Education. The researcher adopted the descriptive, experimental approach in the current research and chose the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences in the College of Education, Al-Qadisiyah University as a field for implementing the design. The researcher divided the educational content over the number of weeks of the first semester, which amounted to (15) weeks, and chose the vocabulary of the educational technologies subject prescribed by the Ministry for the fourth grade with appropriate and brief content. The researcher worked to take into account the possibility of applying this vocabulary with modern educational technologies. The results of the research were an educational-learning design. The researcher came out with a set of conclusions and a set of recommendations. - Using educational design as an alternative to traditional teaching methods, as it helps change the way students learn, and transforms them from mere recipients of information to active participants in the learning process. - Implementing in-service training courses for educational technology teachers to train them on using educational programs, including the proposed educational design "educational molecules" proposed by the researcher, instead of relying only on On teaching methods based on memorization and indoctrination. - Conducting a research study to compare the effect of using the proposed educational design "educational particles" with other educational programs to show which is the most effective in achievement and distributed thinking.
