Abstract

This research addresses the concept of positive psychological performance, defined as a high frequency of positive subjective experiences, such as challenge, autonomy, satisfaction, and the exercise of human strengths like courage, wisdom, and humor. It also refers to age-appropriate emotional and social performance that is a healthy response to surrounding stressors. The aim of the research was to review psychological literature related to positive psychology and to infer the reflections of positive psychology on individuals. A sample of literature and psychological studies related to the research variable was analyzed, focusing on theoretical psychological frameworks explaining the variable ,The researcher concluded that positive psychological performance results from positive emotions that enable individuals to interact positively with their environment. This leads to positive psychological performance across personal, social, and even professional domains, highlighting the necessity of enhancing positive psychological performance among individuals.

1.    Emphasize the role of positive emotions among all individuals and workers in various fields of work and life due to their significant impact on success and the development of the work undertaken by individuals, whether in educational or administrative professions or any other aspect of community work.

2.    Individuals characterized by positive emotions in all their endeavors are seen as capable of change and development in their work, allowing them to achieve success in the easiest and shortest ways.

3.    Highlight the concept of positive psychological performance as a modern concept that requires further study and development.

4.    The samples to which measures of positive psychological performance are applied include university professors, teachers, employees, nurses, internal security forces, lawyers, and others, as these samples experience significant stress due to the exhausting and challenging work environment that contributes to various problems affecting their professional, personal, or family lives.

5.    Attempt to reveal that the concept of positive psychological performance varies according to demographic variables such as gender (male, female), age, marital status, position, years of service, and others.

6.    Through the studies presented, it was found that there is a relationship between the concept of positive psychological performance and several other variables, both negative and positive, such as psychological stress, emotional exhaustion, sense of challenge, courage, social anxiety, low self-esteem, positive influence, life satisfaction, curiosity, hope and optimism, optimistic attribution, self-esteem, empathy, healthy positive psychological performance, and psychological resilience.

7.    This study provided a better understanding of the concept of positive psychological performance through the definition of the concept and the theories presented in the research.
