Requirements for employing artificial intelligence in secondary schools from the perspective of social studies teachers

The current research aimed to identify the requirements for employing artificial intelligence in secondary schools in Iraq from the perspective of social studies teachers. A descriptive approach was used to suit the nature of the research, and the tool used was a questionnaire. The research was divided into several axes: First, the legislative requirements for employing artificial intelligence applications; Second, the administrative and organizational requirements for employing artificial intelligence applications; Third, the requirements related to the use of artificial intelligence in schools; Fourth, the requirements related to the use of artificial intelligence in students. The research sample included 200 teachers distributed across secondary schools in the center of Babil Governorate. After presenting and interpreting the results, the current research presented proposals for employing artificial intelligence requirements in secondary education in Iraq.
The high cost of AI software and teachers' inability to afford it are among the most significant factors driving teachers away from using modern educational tools. Lack of infrastructure to support AI, and the lack of financial support for implementing AI applications.
