Abstract

The study showed the tension in the German-French political relations 1936-1939, which were characterized by hostility, revenge, hatred and intense competition between Germany and France following the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War, which represented a form of the ideological conflict that existed between them, a conflict between the Communists and the Democrats and the bias of each side in intervening in this war according to the ideology that matches them, which led to an increase in the severity of the German-French political ideological contradictions, and competitive German-French relations to show that each country is militarily stronger than the other. France provided military support and sent French volunteers to Spain to restore the balance between the Republicans and the Francoists, which aroused the anger of the Germans and their intense hatred of the French and made Nazi Germany plan to take revenge and destroy France and incite European countries against it, especially Britain, which led to the deterioration of German-French political relations. The study revealed that there were fundamental justifications for Germany in return for providing military support to Franco's Spanish forces and their victory. The study clarified the essential goals of persuasion, which is a real standard for measuring the extent of success and failure of German foreign policy, and made it face a major challenge towards major European countries, especially Britain, represented by the possibility of employing diplomacy to conclude international treaties to achieve Germany's political ambitions and economic interests, which are important in the political decision-maker's awareness of what achieves balance in international relations. In the future, it is hoped to prepare and graduate students who have knowledge, competence and values in the multidisciplinary field of international relations in an academic environment that encourages scientific research and effective participation in policy-making in the international community, and to enhance awareness of global events in international relations and diplomacy among members of human society, and to activate the international relations and diplomacy program in various universities so that students become familiar with the theories of international relations, global politics and culture, and to develop skills through courses that address political and economic analysis and activate negotiation.
