Abstract

The study seeks to understand the organizational structures, editorial policies, and administrative strategies adopted by news channels by analyzing the cases of Al Jazeera and Al Iraqiya News Channel. These two channels are among the most prominent news channels in the Arab world, as each of them plays an important role in transmitting news and shaping public opinion, in addition to analyzing the challenges they face in their different political and social contexts. The study adopts a descriptive methodology that includes collecting data from official documents and secondary sources, conducting interviews with editorial and management officials in the two channels, and analyzing the content of the news provided. The focus is on comparing editorial and administrative policies, and evaluating the credibility of the news and the audience's interaction with the content provided. The study concluded that there are fundamental differences in the foundations of managing the two channels, as they are affected by political, social, and cultural factors. Al Jazeera Channel stands out for its distinctive editorial approach and effective strategies in interacting with the audience, while Al Iraqiya News Channel faces various challenges related to the political and social environment in Iraq. The impact of political factors: Political factors play a crucial role in the management of both channels. Al Jazeera operates in a relatively stable political environment, allowing it greater flexibility in presenting news. In contrast, Al Iraqiya News faces significant challenges due to the volatile political situation in Iraq, which affects its credibility and independence.
