Abstract

Abstract :

Research team: Sufficient numbers of groups that enrich the reading skills of first-year scientific students in biology.

v Research problem: - Answer to the question: Is there a contribution of the talkative groups strategy to the reading skills of fourth grade students in biology?

Research objective: The current research aimed to do the following:

Distinguishing the strategy of talking groups in the reading skills of fourth-year students in biology. For the purpose of verifying the goal of the research, the researcher developed the following two hypotheses:

1.There is no statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) between the two averages who used the usual method in testing the reading skills scale for tribal people for the subject of biology.

2. There is no statistically significant difference at the significance level (0.05) between the average scores of the students who studied according to the talkative groups strategy and the average scores of the students who studied according to the regular method in the posttest of the effective reading skills scale for biology.

v Search procedures:

Research sample: It consisted of (67) second-year intermediate students who were randomly distributed into two groups: a control group (34) students and an experimental group (33) students.

v Search tool:

• Preparing a measure of effective reading skills, which consists of (40) items divided into three skills.

v Statistical methods: - The researcher used statistical methods that were appropriate to the nature of his research.

Research results: The research results indicated that there is an effect of the talkative groups strategy on the effective reading skills of fourth-year scientific students in the biology subject in favor of the experimental group. This is a statistically significant difference at the significance level (0.05) between the average scores of students in the experimental and control groups.

In the measure of active reading after implementing the talkative groups strategy, in favor of the experimental group.

In light of the research results, the researcher developed some recommendations and proposals related to the current research topic.
