Abstract

This topic is closely related to the relations that connect the two shores (Maghrebian – Andalusian), and in my study, I shed light on the most important relations that connected the Marinid state with other states such as the Zenata state, the Hafsid state, and the Nasrid state, the kings of Granada.

I also shed light on the Battle of Tarifa that took place between the Marinid state and the King of Castile, Alfonso XI, in the year 741 AH / 1340 AD, which had negative effects on the Arab-Islamic presence in Andalusia, and which represented the military cooperation between the Marinids and the Nasrids to confront the attacks of the Spanish kingdoms.
Historical researchers have paid great attention to studying the history of Andalusia as part of the history of the Islamic nation, whose borders extended as far as southern France and China, since the rule of the Arab Muslims extended in the land of Andalusia from the Islamic conquest in the year 92 AH / 711 AD until the fall of Granada in the year 897 AH / 1492AD.
The study of the history of the Maghreb and Andalusia is of great importance because their histories are connected and closely linked, as what happens in the Maghreb has its echo in Andalusia, and what happens in Andalusia has a reaction in the Maghreb. On the other hand, the civilization that emerged in the East moved to the Maghreb and Andalusia, and the Arab sciences and arts spread in Andalusia and from there to the European countries. Thus, the Maghreb and Andalusia played a major role in the flourishing of human civilization.
