Evaluating the Competence of Social Studies Teachers in Basic Schools Third Cycle in Light of Analytical Thinking Skills

The primary objective of this research is to evaluate the competence of Social Studies, teachers in basic schools (third educational cycle), in light of their analytical thinking skills. The evaluation is based on variables such as gender, years of service, academic specialization, age, the method used in the research is the descriptive-analytical method. The sample of the study consists of 65 teachers in total, of whom 34 are male and 31 are female. In order to achieve the aim of the study, the researcher created an observation tool. The tool’s validity was confirmed through consultation with a group of experts, with an agreement rate of 92%. Therefore, the observation checklist was approved. For data analysis, Pearson’s correlation coefficient was used, which scored 84% and the SPSS statistical program was employed.
The study reached the following conclusions:
1- The overall level of competence in Analytical thinking among Social Studies teachers in Kalar city basic schools is generally low.
2- There is no statistically significant difference in the performance level of Social Studies, teachers in Analytical thinking based on gender, years of service, or academic specialization.
Analytical thinking is one of the most important ways of thinking that gives us a significant ability to solve problems and overcome them, because analytical thinking is a mental skill that works on He divides the subjects into smaller units and then tries to find the relationships between them, which helps to understand the subjects scientifically, because without thinking one cannot understand the problem itself, let alone understand it Of course, teachers who themselves have analytical thinking and have a thorough knowledge of this, are better able to train their students on this kind of thinking, and help them to become more self-reliant In addition, developing teachers' skills on new teaching issues is an important task of education system management centers around the world, because of course updating teachers' knowledge and Developing teaching skills is one of the most sacred and important duties of education, because through the continuous development of teachers' skills, the ability of students to produce information directly increases, because The level of students' abilities depends on the level of progress and development of teachers' skills, and teachers can identify the strengths and weaknesses of their students
