The novel "Searching for Walid Masoud" is one of the novels that tells of a person's escape from reality and their hiding. However, this hiding may be for another purpose. The disappearance of the protagonist led to a kind of anxiety and disturbance among the other characters in the novel. In this research, we focused on the most important reasons that led the main character and the other characters to develop anxiety. We adopted the analytical method through applied models to clarify these reasons. The most important result we reached is that Jabra Ibrahim Jabra, one of the most important novelists, was able, through his famous novel "Searching for Walid Masoud," to present us with a model of the life of a psychologically disturbed person. He was able to employ the elements of his novel in a clever way to show the reasons that drive a person to make the difficult decision of disappearing. Behind this sudden disappearance were several reasons that we mentioned in this research. He was able, with his insight, to weave the story for us in a way The novel captivates the reader and weaves together events in a way that keeps all the characters in a state of constant anxiety, asking questions but without finding answers. Even the reader, from the moment they begin reading, experiences this anxiety, becoming like the characters themselves, asking questions and searching for answers as they read. This feeling that grips the reader stems from the author's ability to convey these genuine emotions.
