Abstract

Objectives: This study sheds light on the diplomatic aspect of Shathal Taqa’s career during his tenure at the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It also aims to explore the second dimension of his life as a poet and his role in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Methodology : The study relies on the historical, descriptive, and analytical. approach, tracing the subject’s life from birth to death. It analyzes various topics that contributed to shaping Shathal Taqa’s personality

Results:  The study concludes that the poetic side of Shathal Taqa’s life played a significant role in preparing him for his diplomatic career. His broad cultural knowledge and academic background enabled him to assume the position at the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1974. However, due to the short duration of his tenure, he was unable to fully demonstrate his diplomatic and administrative capabilities. Such a distinctive personality had its unique approach to managing such an important ministry.

Recommendations:  It is recommended to conduct an extensive academic study of this figure to allow researchers to obtain a Master’s or Doctoral degree. This study should ideally combine both poetry and diplomacy
