This research seeks to uncover the significance of plural forms indicating paucity when used to denote abundance in the Holy Quran. This is achieved by tracing their occurrences, analyzing them morphologically and semantically, and demonstrating the influence of context in shaping their meaning. The research aims to highlight the close relationship between morphological rules and Quranic usage, and to show that meaning in the Holy Quran is not understood in isolation from context, but rather is determined within its framework.
The research revealed that the alternation between forms of paucity and abundance in the Holy Quran was not arbitrary, but rather dictated by contextual requirements, consideration of the intended meaning, and the desired rhetorical objective. This demonstrates the precision of Quranic expression and its eloquent eloquence. The research concluded that studying the structures of paucity and abundance contributes to a deeper understanding of the Quranic text and highlights its linguistic beauty. It also underscores the close connection between morphology, exegesis, and rhetoric, and opens the door to further applied studies in this field.
